The 2024-25 financial year was a positive one for investment markets on the back of falling inflation and interest rates, while economies held up much better than expected. The anticipated fallout from tariffs also failed to materialise, while the AI boom gave markets a major boost, particularly toward the end of the financial year.
These factors underpinned what was a strong share market performance for the year, with Australian shares returning nearly 14% and international shares over 15%.
As a result, Team Super investment options with exposure to share markets, such as our default investment options (which most members are invested in), did particularly well.
